Like as many husbands, fathers, and curious human beings, I do have lots of interests outside my professional life. For years I’m improving my home automation environment continuously, integrating more and more entities, sensors, actors, etc. Sometimes I’m driving my family nuts with it, but it improved over time. I’m a hobby backyard astronomer, scuba diver, gardener, and very shortly a dog owner as well, next to rabbits and birds.
In my professional life, I’m working as a Cloud & DevOps Architect, always watching out for the latest trends and technologies, and am searching for the best ways to integrate one to the other. My current interests are in the areas of distributed applications, Open Source, Kubernetes, Cloud, and using my home lab to run all this in “production”. My newly created blog is going to reflect these interests.
I also enjoy grilling and cooking in general.
Together with my wife and my two girls, we live in the nicest state of Germany, nearby Munich in Bavaria :-).
